About the Event

Prepare to connect with your souls deepest longing. Sometimes before the thought comes, the intuitive mind creates unique images that can guide you into that invisible part of yourself. After several prompts and a journal writting assignment, you will choose from various grass root bundles and a bucket of Japanese sumi ink and begin to draw your soul with music. Using the energy of the visual meditation and your unconscious language, you will create a finished piece on a 8ft by 4ft piece of rag paper.

Please print a journal and wear clothes that you won’t mind getting ink splatters on.

About the Facilitator:  Lorijo Daniels

The creative world has always, for as long as I can remember, felt like home to me. I graduated in the early 90’s with a BFA from a small liberal arts university.  I began teaching art and finding my own artistic path with photography and sculpture. I continued studying photography in Portland, Oregon, and have had many solo and collaborative exhibitions. In addition, I am a certified yoga instructor and have taught trauma informed therapeutic yoga and art workshops in the Pacific NW for the past several years. I also have taught art in private schools and have more recently added birth and death doula certifications to my ever-growing belt of expertise. I love sharing the artistic process with others, and I love to see how healing emerges organically through one’s own unique creative expression. Healing like art is indeed a process, and taking the time to truly heal is a beautiful gift we can give ourselves. I so look forward to creating a container for you to explore your own healing journey as we work together in a safe, confidential space. Join me!
