Finding Beauty & Healing-Gardens in Watercolor

In each of the four weekly two hour watercolor painting classes, each participant will spend time breathing and grounding themselves, to look for and find beauty and color, and hope, whether in life, in a garden, or a painting. Art is a proven remedy that supports behavioral and mental health. And it's fun!

From enlarged color copies supplied by the instructor we will investigate the beauty, colors and shapes in the gardens before us. Guidance will be given in watercolor painting skills, and use of the materials. All art supplies will be provided.

We will start each class with a short guided meditation. Then at tables we will start a painting looking at color copies of gardens in bloom. With a discussion on ways to use the art materials, and ways to start (drawing simple shapes), how to use water and paint, how to mix colors, we can either follow…
