We’re making history on Vashon Island. On Tuesday, August 19 (World Humanitarian Day) The DOVE Project will host the first-ever Hope Lives Here Giving Day — a 24-hour community-wide campaign to raise funds for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault right here at home.
Your gift will stay 100% local, funding life-changing programs including:
Crisis intervention and safety planning for survivors and their families
Trauma-informed mental health services that help survivors, youth and community members heal
Holistic wellness programs that rebuild confidence and strength
Youth and adult prevention programs to stop violence before it starts
This is more than a fundraiser — it’s a statement. It’s our community standing together to say that home should be safe for everyone.
How you can help today:
Save the date — Tuesday, August 19
Give online by 11:59 p.m.
Share the campaign with friends, family, and neighbors
Be an ambassador — invite at least 3 people to join you in giving
When we come together, we create safety, dignity, and hope for every neighbor. Let’s make the first Hope Lives Here Giving Day one to remember and build a brighter future for Vashon Island.
Mark your calendar, spread the word, and join us August 19.
